Well, Pidgin still supports this ancient protocols with plugins, but the protocols Pidgin can use out-of-the-box are Jabber/XMPP, Bonjour, Gadu-Gadu, IRC, Novell GroupWise Messenger, Lotus Sametime, etc. And with plugins it supports communication with software like Discord, Telegran, Facebook Messenger, Skype, WhatsApp or Signal.

Shouldn't the entry be updated? And shouldn't a messenger be suggested anyway that can use the Matrix protocol (like Element or Schildi-Chat), which is used more and more often at Fedora events?
